Coastal High School (CHS) has contracted with the Public Charter School Alliance of South Carolina (PCSASC) to administer this year’s election process. This ensures integrity and confidentiality in the process. The governing board consists of five (5) elected seats and four (4) appointed seats. One (1) elected seat is up for election at this time. The term for this seat will end June 30, 2026. The filing period will be closed on December 1, 2025 at 12pm. The election results will be announced on December 12, 2025. Thank you!

Board Member Qualifications
- Must have a High School Diploma or have completed a GED program
- Must be a South Carolina resident
- Must not have been convicted of a felony
- Former employees or contract vendors must wait 24 months before running for the board
- Attend monthly board and committee meetings along with an annual retreat
Board Meeting Information
Board Meetings are held the last Tuesday of the Month at 6:00 PM at the school or zoom as posted on the agenda.
